In the first three quarters 2007 Group Business Bipromet S.A. derived sales revenue of 75 mln zł that constitutes a 13 % increase in relation to the same period last year. At that time the Group disposed of services and commodities for the amount of 66,5 mln zł. 93% of the Group sales was attributed to the Dominant Company, and 7% to subsidiary companies - Przedsiębiorstwo Budowlane Katowice S.A. (Building Company Katowice S.A.) and Bipromet Ecosystem Ltd..

Sales of the Dominant Company for III quarters of the current year realized a sum of 69,6 mln zł, whereas in the analogical period last year it amounted 60,6 mln zł (increase of app. 15%). Vast majority of the Group and Company sales was conducted in domestic market in completion of general investments. It should be emphasized that in the III quarter 2007 Bipromet entered into a major export contract with Arcelor Mittal Annaba (Algeria) for delivery of electrofilters including dust collection and transport system for sinter belt, for the amount of approximately 14 mln zł. However, within this term, Bipromet concluded significant agreements in the national market with KGHM Polska Miedź S.A., Zarmen Ltd., Orzeł Biały S.A. for a grand total of nearly 30 mln zł.

Gross profit from sales after III quarters of the current year amounted 5,9 mln zł, while gross margin from sales reached level of 7,9%. Instead, net profit of the Group* within this period amounted 848 thousand zł and was 12 % higher in comparison to the similar term 2006.

„Results for III quarters of the current year remained on an approximate level and correspond to our expectations. We have been increasingly accessing contracts by taking advantage of favorable outlook in the building market - back-log of business for the coming year includes orders for the amount of about 60 mln zł” – said Tadeusz Baj, President of the Board in Bipromet S.A.
