On 22nd November 2007 Bipromet S.A., together with Orzeł Biały S.A., made an annex to the contract of 5th September 2007 referring to modernization of Smelter Plant Orzeł Biały S.A. localized in Piekary Śląskie (II step) for the net amount of app. 4,2 mln zł.
Under the concluded annex, Bipromet shall complete a project that includes engineering works, deliveries, assembly and commissioning of dedusting system for Doerschl furnace used in battery scrap remelting in the Smelter Plant „Orzeł Biały” S.A. in Piekary Śląskie. The total net sum for the works under the Annex amounts app. 2,4 mln zł. The works are estimated to be completed in April 2007.
Orzeł Biały S.A. company specializes in recycling of worn out car batteries and is one of the Bipromet major customers – last year nearly 6% of the Company sales came from the projects ordered by Orzeł Biały S.A. At present, despite the investment concerning modernization of the Smelter Plant Orzeł Biały in Piekary Śląskie, Bipromet is in the course of project accomplishment for the same client under the following name "Elaboration and execution of a research stand for paste desulphurization process– unfit for commercial use" of a net value app. 1,6 mln zł.
