On 8th February 2008 Bipromet S.A. concluded with Orzeł Biały S.A. annex No 2 to the contract of 5th September 2007, concerning modernization of Metallurgical Plant „Orzeł Biały” in Piekary Śląskie.
Value of works included in the annex amounts 2.680.000 zł net.
Whereas the total, estimated value of contract together with the two annexes amounts approximately 9.250.000 zł. Works included in the annex No 2 are to be completed in October 2008.
Pursuant to the concluded annex No 2 – within the III step of modernization of Metallurgical Plant „Orzeł Biały” in Piekary Śląskie, Bipromet executes engineering documentation, civil-erection works, author's supervision and technical acceptances within the range of furnace housing for lead melt from recycling of lead scrap (including worn out batteries) together with infrastructure.
Orzeł Biały S.A. company deals with recycling of worn out car batteries and in one of the major customer of Bipromet – in the last year about 6% of the Company sales came from the projects ordered by Orzeł Biały S.A. At present, apart from the contract referring to modernization of Metallurgical Plant Orzeł Biały in Piekary Śląskie, Bipromet is in the course of completing an investment for the same client under the name of "Elaboration and execution of a stand for research of paste desulphurization process – commercialy useless" of value app. 1,6 mln zł net.
