News - Press release
On 21st April 2008 Bipromet company from Katowice received from the Mining-Metallurgical Plants „Bolesław” S.A., seated in Bukowno near Olkusz, an order for execution of engineering documentation and filter development in ZGH „Bolesław” process line. The new filter will replace the former one that was designed and constructed by Bipromet as well in the beginning of the 90’s.
Net value of the works covered by the order amounts 1.055.000 PLN.
The works will be implemented in two steps:
- engineering – until the end of June 2008,
- disassembly-assembly works – July – August 2008, adjusted to the filter delivery dates of the Finnish company Larox.
Objective of the present investment is to modernize and to enhance the capacity of ZGH process line.
It should be underlined that the contract was a result of many years’ cooperation of Bipromet and ZGH Bolesław – it is Bipromet that co-designed the Mining-Metallurgical Plants Bolesław, performed author’s and technological supervision under their construction and commissioning. Interoperability of Bipromet and ZGH Bolesław within the implemented and planned, more advanced modernization of the Plants is related to great prosperity in the market of color metals – including zinc and lead.
„ZGH Bolesław has been our regular customer for many years. We are going to participate in the multi-million projects prepared by the ZGH Bolesław referring to modernization of the Plants. Boom in the world markets of non-ferrous metals provides for the investments, not to mention that Bipromet is an expert in this branch” – says Paweł Gaworzyński, Director for Owner Supervision and Investor Relations Bipromet S.A.
ZGH Bolesław is the leader in the extraction of zinc-lead ores and production of electrolytic zinc in the Polish market. The company products are applied, including but not limited, to metallurgical industry, car industry, processing industry, building engineering and many others.
