On 27th May 2008 Bipromet, company seated in Katowice, concluded a contract with ArcelorMittal Ostrava a.s. for execution of complex repair concerning electrostatic precipitators of sinter belts No SP 4 and SP 5 in ArcelorMittal Plant in Ostrava - Sinter Plant South.
The project of net value 2.440.000 EURO (app. 8,3 mln zł) shall be implemented by Bipromet by April 2009.
Within the contract, Bipromet shall design, deliver and install internal equipment of the repaired electrostatic precipitators.
The signed contract continues productive cooperation in the area of complex modernization of steel plants belonging to the ArcelorMittal Group. Implementation of this assignment provides Bipromet with beneficial conditions to apply for, including but not limited to, subsequent contracts referring to the planned, multi-million investments connected with environmental protection in the European ArcelorMittal plants. Modernization of the dedusting system for waste gases is designed in order to obtain technical parameters that correspond to the requirements of EU directives.
Modernization of electrostatic precipitators in Ostrava is in accordance with Bipromet core-business, which also includes engineering and deliveries of complete technological lines that reduce emission of harmful substances into the atmosphere, in particularly gas dedusting systems in industrial processes, electrostatic precipitators, bag filters and reactors for gas conditioning.
The reference list of Bipromet in the scope of designs concerning environmental protection includes the following:
