On August, 21 2008 Bipromet in Katowice accepted an order from KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. HM “Glogow” Division for performance of multi branch technical documentation concerning development of the fourth Dörschel furnace in HM „Glogow”.
The net value of the works included in the order is PLN 1 675 000.
The above mentioned task will have been finished by March 2010, however, its basic part is expected to be performed and settled in 2009.
KGHM Polska Miedź has been a crucial client for Bipromet for several decades. During last 12 months Bipromet entered into many agreements with KGHM Polska Miedź, for the total net value over 9,1 mln. The most valuable agreement concerns preparation of multi branch technical documentation for the investment task "Modernization of Pyrometallurgy in HM Glogow II". The net value of the task is PLN 7 650 000.
It should be emphasized that the Modernization of Pyrometallurgy in HM Glogow is one of the biggest project orders realized by Bipromet in the company’s history. Bipromet is in fact the only Polish company that was able to undertake the complex realization of such a demanding project venture.
The long cooperation with KGHM has its historical roots – Bipromet is the major designer of all KGHM smelting plants since the very beginning of their existence.
